According to Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), standards will play centre stage during the rollout of 5G across the country. With a better understanding of the technical challenges associated with the rollout of high speed, pervasive and reliable 5G networks, standards will assume centre stage. Although India was not centre stage during the rollout of 2G, 3G, and 4G, now 5G presents a excellent opportunity to us.
